VPN Installation procedure in Windows 2000 Professional

Step 1

Go to Start --> Settings --> Network and Dialup Connections

Step 2

Double Click - "Make New Connection" Icon

Step 3

Click on Next Button

Step 4

Select Connect to a private network through the Internet, and then click on Next Button

Step 5

Select Do not dial the initial connection, and click Next Button

Step 6

Set IP address as 220.227.153.140, and click Next Button

Step 7

Select For all users option, and click Next Button

Step 8

Type Virtual Private Connection name as per convienience (for eg. Abhipra VPN), select Check Box for Add a shortcut to my Desktop, and click Finish button.

This will add shortcut on the desktop for VPN connection to Abhipra Network

Step 9

type username and password as provided by HO Datacenter for connecting Abhipra VPN and click Connect Button.
