SPEED-e can be accessed through two ways viz. Password and Smart Card.

Through Password based access facility, the client can transact their demat accounts with three pre notified Clearing Members accounts (broker pool accounts).

Smart Card enables the user to give debit instructions to the broker and client accounts, be it off market or market transactions.

Recently NSDL has launched a facility called IDEAS (Internet-based Demat Account Statement) for Clients of SPEED-e and Clearing Members (who have subscribed to SPEED) to view balances in their accounts on SPEED-e website. The information (balances and transactions) is updated online . The information would normally be up to date as of the last half an hour. This facility enables the Clearing Member to view and download the latest balances and transactions in their Pool accounts in respect of settlements for the current pay-in date, previous four and next four pay-in days. Clients can view the latest balances and transactions that have taken place in the last FIVE DAYS in their accounts and take a print of Transaction Statement / Holding Statement.
